Your Responsibilities
- Performing thorough assessments of patients, ordering tests, and crafting tailored treatment plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians or operating independently as your credentials allow
- Educating patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medications and treatment options in accordance with the scope of practice
- Participating in the management of chronic care and follow-up protocols
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and coordinated care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records within electronic medical systems (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in California
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire within 90 days)
