GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This role provides exceptional quality care to patients and their families, promoting health and preventing disease under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver general nursing care following established nursing practice standards. (30%)
- Prepare equipment and assist the physician/clinical provider during patient examinations, treatments, and tests. (20%)
- Collect patient assessment data, prepare patients for examination, and accurately document clinical information in patient records. (20%)
- Order and review diagnostic tests as instructed by a registered nurse or physician/clinical provider. (20%)
- Schedule procedures and acquire necessary authorizations. (5%)
- Administer injections or medications, collect laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing. (5%)
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current state licensure as an LPN or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred:
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
- Certification from a state-approved IV course.
- Familiarity with OASIS documentation and assessment processes.
- PALS or ACLS certification may be required based on the specific area of practice.
