Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using standardized measures and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver personalized speech therapy aimed at improving communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to design comprehensive care approaches.
Provide both patient and family education to facilitate progress and understanding outside of clinical settings.
Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a smooth continuum of care throughout treatment.
Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and peer collaboration.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for diverse age groups, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
