Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of quality care by following the nursing care plan, supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety as a top priority. The RN is responsible for providing individualized patient assessments and developing an appropriate care plan while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching upon admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Assume charge responsibility when requested and maintain communication about necessary supplies and training.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific facility only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.

This position is for the Night Shift, following a 3x12.0 schedule.
