Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, communicating each phase with care and clarity
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver optimal diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment with diligence, reporting any malfunctions immediately
• Keep accurate documentation of procedures and maintain patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging methods and best practices

Education and Certification Requirements

• Completion of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Licensing/Certification Needed

• Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

• Excellent technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and proper patient positioning
• Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
• Able to work autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary team
