Job Duties – What You Will Be Responsible For

• Conduct routine and sophisticated clinical laboratory tests—chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond—adhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate results meticulously for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform both preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
• Accurately document all procedures, mentor new team members or students, and assist in maintaining high lab quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment while following regulatory and accreditation guidelines vigilantly.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certification Requirements

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain active certification throughout employment duration.
