Transform Lives Through Communication in Sunshine State – Become Our Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine turning your professional skills into a beacon of hope for many. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the lively atmosphere of Florida's west coast, your daily endeavors will do so much more than just treating speech and swallowing challenges. Your efforts will empower individuals — from spirited children discovering their voices to seasoned adults striving to regain their autonomy.
This position uniquely positions you to impact a diverse array of patients, providing both outpatient therapy and, on occasion, inpatient care. Whether you have a passion for facilitating young children's language acquisition, addressing communication hurdles in adults, or focusing on cognitive language rehabilitation for the elderly, you will find both meaning and adaptation in your work environment.
Conduct assessments for various age groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized tools and observational methods.
Create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
Partner with a comprehensive team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to establish integrated care strategies.
Engage and educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the clinical setting.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping that adheres to the applicable regulatory standards and best practices.
Remain informed about field advancements via ongoing education and peer discussions.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet certified by ASHA.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies scalable for patients of all ages, with a profound understanding of both developmental and acquired communication modalities.
Exceptional communication skills, fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team.
Capacity to adapt therapy to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong analytical skills and clinical reasoning capabilities.
Comfortable navigating electronic health records and maintaining precise documentation.
Competitive salary reflective of experience and expertise.
Flexible scheduling to promote work-life harmony and manage diverse case loads.
Opportunities available to specialize in children's therapy, adult rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.
Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Financial support for continuing education and professional development.
A collegial work atmosphere that prizes teamwork and a commitment to high-quality care.
In this role, you will do more than provide vital speech therapy — you will join a community-focused initiative aimed at revitalizing voices, fostering connections, and cultivating joy through genuine communication.
Experience the camaraderie of fellow clinicians who treat one another like kin, in a collaborative environment that places cooperation above competition. Every patient you encounter has a narrative; your insights will help write their story anew.
