Overview:
As a Central Fill Pharmacy Manager, you have a critical role at the forefront of delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. In addition to leading and directing your Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, you are accountable for the management, oversight and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. CVS Central Fill pharmacies manage, fulfill, and ship prescriptions to retail stores in a closed-door setting. These pharmacies fulfill 10k-40k prescriptions per week utilizing multiple retail systems that are specialized for Central Fill operations.
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of the Central Fill pharmacy, including oversight of 20+ employees and 15+ non-resident pharmacy licenses. The Pharmacy Manager will be tasked with managing development and performance of their team and setting goals for streamlined operations of their facility. This includes ensuring that hiring goals are met and maintained to budget, resources are in place for fulfillment of budgeted prescriptions, prescription cost to fill is monitored, orders are delivered to stores on time and with efficiency, and compliance with the regulatory requirements of all state licenses is maintained. He/she is expected to think outside the box and partner with the corporate team to meet these goals. In addition, the Central Fill Pharmacy Manager will complete pharmacist workflow tasks such as verification.

Additionally, you will:

Essential Qualifications:
5+ years' experience directly leading a team to meet, and exceed, business outcomes
5+ years' experience building a high performing team
Demonstrated track record of success in high-volume pharmacy management
Ability to diagnose operational challenges and deliver impactful solutions in real time
Ability to hold teams accountable in a fair, supportive and equitable manner
Ability to effectively create goals and prioritize key action plans
Proactivity with tackling issues in a timely and decisive manner, while keeping broader organizational dynamics in mind
Ability to perform under pressure, adapt to changing dynamics, and find solutions that satisfy multiple "customers" of the business
Ability to learn and train teams to use complex pharmacy fulfillment systems, including prescription processing software, fulfillment and verification automation machines, patient management tools, shipping systems, etc.
Ability to utilize basic functions of Microsoft Office including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Prior experience managing high volume pharmacies and/or field management experience
Demonstrated track record of success in high-volume pharmacy management
Ability to diagnose operational challenges and deliver impactful solutions in real time
Ability to build high performing teams and develop key talent

No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
Travel- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, based on needs of the business

Communication Skills: 1) Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues, 2) Actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Mathematical Reasoning: The ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day's supply of a prescription
Problem Resolution: 1) Is able to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; recognizing there is a problem, 2) Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
