Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either collaboratively with physicians or independently (depending on credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families on wellness, prevention strategies, and disease management

Essential Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Licensure and Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in New Mexico
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
