Your Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop tailored treatment plans
• Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses either in collaboration with physicians or independently (within your credentialing scope)
• Guide patients and their families on prevention strategies, wellness initiatives, and managing their health
• Prescribe medications and therapies as permitted by your practice credentials
• Engage in patient follow-up care and chronic condition management
• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to promote comprehensive and patient-centered care
• Maintain meticulous and accurate records using electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Kansas
• Nationally recognized certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within three months)
