Responsibilities

• Empowering Your Team: You’ll act as a mentor and navigator, assigning, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff to ensure every associate is positioned for success during your shift.
• Advocating for Excellence: You’ll serve as the point of contact for patient care concerns, resolving challenges with empathy and professionalism through established clinical channels.
• Orchestrating the Unit: In the fast-paced ED environment, you will masterfully balance shifting patient and physician dynamics, setting the priorities that keep the department running smoothly.
• Building the Future: Your expertise will directly influence the growth of our team. You’ll provide vital input on hiring, training, and the professional development of the nursing staff.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Proven ED Experience: You must have prior experience as a Registered Nurse in an ED setting.
