Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions, prioritizing areas such as language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with a multidimensional care team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and care providers to ensure cohesive and effective treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to empower them to extend progress beyond the walls of therapy.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Document all patient-related information accurately and expediently, adhering to state and federal guidelines.
• Remain updated on the latest advancements in the field through dedicated professional development and peer networking.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those still pursuing ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
