Your Role in This Journey

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, initiating diagnostic procedures, and crafting individualized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic medical conditions, collaborating with physicians or working independently (as credentialed)
• Providing education to patients and families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies

Necessary Education

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or similar specialization
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure these within 90 days)
