Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to provide personalized evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments, and education tailored to each patient's unique needs. This role involves delivering care across a variety of settings including inpatient acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient services within a regional healthcare network in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will uphold professional ethics and standards, maintain productivity including weekend and holiday shifts, and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
- Conduct thorough and individualized patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Deliver care in diverse settings such as inpatient acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics based on patient and organizational needs.
- Fulfill weekend and holiday work requirements as per employment status.
- Utilize sound clinical judgment to assess all relevant aspects of patient function and document care accurately and promptly.
- Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide mentorship opportunities when requested.
- Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws while supporting the mission and values of the healthcare district.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred.
- Proficiency in physical therapy modalities, interventions, and procedures is required.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment and computer software including MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
Education
- Graduation from an accredited professional school or college with a degree in Physical Therapy is required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, required upon hire.
All candidates must successfully complete a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment.
