Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions in conjunction with physicians or independently based on your credentialing
• Providing education to patients and their families focusing on prevention, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic patient care
• Meticulously documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to acquire within 90 days)
