Speech Language Therapist - SLP

Rekindle Communication and Connections in Picturesque Idaho – Become a Speech Language Therapist

Could your next career venture be the key to transforming lives — quite literally? As a Speech Language Therapist nestled in the stunning landscapes of Idaho, your responsibilities will not merely revolve around treating speech and swallowing issues. You will have the profound ability to unveil potential, restore self-esteem, and cultivate meaningful connections — engaging with lively children navigating their first words to cherished elders seeking renewed independence.

This position presents a rare chance to work with a diverse clientele spanning all ages, in a welcoming environment that combines outpatient therapy with some inpatient care. Whether your heart beats for pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic communication rehabilitation, or cognitive-linguistic therapy for seniors, you will discover both satisfaction and variety in your role.

Conduct thorough assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing accepted assessment tools and observational practices.

Create tailor-made treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.

Deliver personalized therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge cohesive care strategies.

Provide essential education to patients and families to promote progress during non-clinical hours.

Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring an uninterrupted continuum of care throughout the treatment process.

Maintain precise and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.

Engage continually in professional development through workshops, seminars, and collaboration with peers.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized program.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.

Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Depth of knowledge in evidence-based treatment methodologies for diverse age groups, and a robust grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Capability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Robust clinical judgment and effective problem-solving skills.

Competence in utilizing electronic medical records systems and adhering to documentation standards.

Attractive compensation reflective of your experience.

Flexible work scheduling to suit your lifestyle and accommodate diverse caseloads.

Choices to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric care.

Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.

Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Support for continuing education and professional growth opportunities.

A collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes quality care and lifelong learning.

In this role, you won't merely facilitate speech therapy — you'll be joining a community-centric mission to restore voices, bolster communication, and craft joyful moments through life's simplest acts: listening and understanding.

You will collaborate with clinicians who view each other as allies, in a culture that prioritizes teamwork over rivalry. Every patient has a unique narrative; we'll depend on your expertise to help shape and express it.

Life in Idaho flows with a unique blend of adventure and serene beauty, offering a rich tapestry of opportunities nestled amid spectacular mountain landscapes and serene rivers. This region is a sanctuary for those yearning for harmony between nature, culture, and career growth.

Families gather at serene parks for live music under the stars, while nature enthusiasts explore breathtaking hiking trails, fish in sparkling lakes, or savor weekends visiting local breweries and artisan markets. Culinary enthusiasts relish a spectrum of dining options, from cozy cafés to farm-to-table restaurants showcasing the very best of Idaho-inspired dishes.

The area pulses with creativity visible in street art, echoed in vibrant music venues, and celebrated in community festivals that unite people from all walks of life. For professionals, the benefits are extensive — no state income tax, affordable living costs, and a burgeoning healthcare sector create a fertile ground for careers to thrive and flourish.

Whether you're embarking on your first professional journey or are an experienced clinician eager for new horizons, you'll find the freedom to flourish — both personally and professionally.

We are searching for a Speech Language Therapist who is motivated not only by goals but also by compassion. Someone who sees a silent child and imagines a future filled with expression, who hears the hesitant speech of a stroke survivor and senses resolve.

Perhaps you specialize in pediatric care and are keen to expand your work with adults — or possibly you're experienced in neuro-based therapies and wish to broaden your scope to include early intervention.

Whatever fuels your passion, if you're ready to serve with empathy and lead with expertise, we can't wait to welcome you into our team.

Join us in a community that rejoices in communication, connection, and the courage it takes to renew. Apply now to lend your voice to our team — and help others discover theirs.
