Mental Health Technician

Entry Level Salary: $21 - $23 / per hour

Certified ( RBT / BCAT / ABAT ) Salary: $24 - $28 / per hour

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Mental Health Technician to work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges. To qualify for our higher wages, you will need to have been certified for at least 6 months and pass our Clinical Interview with a BCBA.

Responsibilities:

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Document child progress and milestones
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with children with special needs
• Strong communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have reliable transportation
• Completion of college coursework in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year experience working with children in the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician required
