Description - Key Responsibilities

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, and immunology, following established protocols.
• Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and conduct preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for laboratory analysis as required.
• Thoroughly document procedures, mentor new staff or interns, and contribute to maintaining lab quality standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe laboratory environment and comply with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a related allied health field, along with ASCP/AMT certification prep.

Required Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be achieved within one year of employment.
• Ongoing maintenance of current certification throughout employment is mandatory.
