Imagine a place where your expertise could help someone reclaim their first steps after an operation, reestablish their independence following a stroke, or revive their voice post-illness. In the role of a Licensed Physical Therapist, your efforts transcend mere recovery; you will bring dignity, momentum, and a renewed sense of hope during some of life's most delicate moments. And you'll do so in a bustling city that beautifully marries work, life, and leisure. We are eager to welcome a compassionate and talented Licensed Physical Therapist to our incredible team in St. Louis, Missouri—a lively city known for its rich culture, artistic scenes, and communal spirit. Here, not only will you find professional fulfillment, but you'll also discover a lifestyle filled with live music, green parks, and world-class dining. If you're ready to create a lasting impact that resonates beyond the clinic, this could be the opportunity you have been searching for.
As a key member of our healthcare team, your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical tasks. You will evaluate patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, crafting tailored treatment plans that cater to their individual needs. Through the administration of targeted physical therapy interventions, you will focus on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality. Collaboration is paramount; you'll work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Moreover, you will take charge of educating patients and their families about therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and home exercise regimens, while meticulously documenting all evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. But your role doesn't end there; you'll also be involved in care team rounds and interdisciplinary conferences, ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive, coordinated care.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited program, along with state licensure as a Physical Therapist. While previous experience is strongly preferred, it's your ability to engage empathetically with patients overcoming complex medical and mobility challenges that really matters. Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as comfort with digital charting systems will also serve you well.
Our organization is dedicated to bestowing competitive compensation packages alongside comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance. You will have access to continuing education and licensure reimbursement, as well as generous paid time off and flexible scheduling options. Our appealing team culture thrives on support and allows ample opportunities for professional development and advancement.
Each day in this position will be unique, filled with chances to make substantive differences in your patients' lives. Whether you're aiding someone on their journey back to mobility after surgery or guiding a stroke survivor through the milestone steps of recovery, you will be pivotal in their healing process. This hands-on, emotionally fulfilling work blends clinical expertise with heartfelt engagement. You will assess needs, implement personalized treatment plans, and modify strategies as your patients evolve. Collaborating within a care team, you will play a crucial role in discharge planning and ensuring safe transitions home. The rewarding nature of this role cannot be overstated; your efforts will yield immediate impact, transforming lives for the better.
We're in search of more than just experience; we desire an individual who truly grasps the philosophy that movement is medicine, who recognizes the potency of kindness, and who believes that progress blooms in a multitude of ways—from standing upright to taking those first steps back into a life full of possibilities.
