🧠 Required Skills and Clinical Expectations

Strong neuro nursing skills required
No titration of drips required
Heparin is the only common drip used
Telemetry may be used via tele packs; RNs do not read strips
RNs are required to attend interdisciplinary team conferences
Floating required to LTAC or Med-Surg as needed (no floating to higher acuity units unless trained)

👥 Support and Resources

Nurse aides available (1:9–10 ratio)
PT / OT / Speech Therapy services on unit
House supervisors available (no charge nurses on unit)
Respiratory support includes:
- CPAP/BiPAP at night for sleep apnea
- Nasal cannula
- High-flow cannula (non-heated only)
