ICU RN – Travel (Zone 5)Hiring Process: Interview with MedSol Clinical Team only (no unit manager)Radius Rule: 60 miles (Driver’s License required)Zone 5 Facilities: Mercy Hospital, St. Anthony Summit, St. Elizabeth Hospital⚠️ Facilities are far apart—floating within the zone is rare and only in extreme need.Orientation: 1 week (must be in-state even if modules are remote)Unit Orientation: 1–2 days with preceptorExperience Required:2+ years ICU experienceTravel experience preferredFirst-time travelers need 3+ years ICU + Epic experienceUnit Type: Mixed ICUs (MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU, etc.)Ratios: 1:1–1:2 (may flex to 1:3); 1:1 for CRRT, IABP, ImpellaCertifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSSkills Required:Titration of all critical drips (pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, etc.)Tele interpretation (no monitor techs)Support:No nurse aides (sitters only)RT support available; RNs assist with vents, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNCScheduling:7a–7p / 7p–7aLeadership schedules 6 weeks out; flexibility requiredRTO must be submitted prior to startWeekends: 6–9 shifts per 6-week scheduleHolidays: May rotateCall: Rare (low census only)Scrubs: Any color
