ICU Nurse Job Responsibilities

Provide Exceptional Patient Care: Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during their recovery.
Monitor Patient Conditions: Observe, assess, and document patients' vital signs and responses to treatment, and provide immediate interventions as needed.
Collaborate with the Care Team: Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Administer Medications and Treatments: Manage IV medications, blood products, and other complex treatments with precision and care.
Support Families: Communicate effectively with patients' families, offering guidance and emotional support during challenging times.

Requirements

Licensure and Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in CA.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in an ICU, emergency room, or other critical care setting is preferred. New grads encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critically ill patients in a high-stress environment.
