Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a diligent and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist to become part of our expanding community of imaging professionals dedicated to outstanding patient care. Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, including those of the abdomen, obstetric and gynecological fields, vascular imaging, and small parts analysis
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures by clearly explaining each step in a compassionate manner
- Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring clinicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Skillfully operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while promptly reporting any malfunctions
- Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic medical record system
- Commit to ongoing education in ultrasound imaging techniques and industry best practices
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a comparable field
- Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
- Proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and adept patient positioning
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
