Job Description
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position under general supervision, responsible for performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients, as well as general diagnostic radiology examinations as needed. The CT Technologist plays a critical role in patient care by ensuring high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities

Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
Review clinical data and patient history to perform appropriate examinations.
Prepare the procedure room and manage stock of linens and supplies.
Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
Manually control equipment for optimal diagnostic information acquisition.
Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions.
Assist the Radiologist in performing complex diagnostic procedures.
Implement radiation protection principles during imaging procedures.
Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
Complete all necessary documentation in medical records and within the radiology information system.

Schedule

Afternoon shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with weekend availability required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
BLS certification is mandatory.
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold an advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or be registry-eligible.
